This week, you will have completed 8 blocks out of 46. As a reminder, there are 46 unique blocks, however, you will end up with a total of 48 blocks to make an 8 x 6 block quilt, as on the cover of
Lori Holt's Farm Girl Vintage book,

Here are the two blocks for Week 4:
Block 7 of 46: Old Glory Block, page 47 of the Farm Girl Vintage book:
In honor of Patriot Day, a National Day of Service and Rememberance, I have selected Old Glory, in memory of the 2977 souls lost on September 11, 2001.
Block 8 of 46: Pie Cherries Block, page 54-55 of the Farm Girl Vintage book:
Cherries, I love cherries, cherry pie, cherry juice, cherry turnovers, anything cherry!
On the home front here in California, a little update. My dining room table is now a dining room table. It does not have any quilting items on it! In fact, there is not one piece of fabric, not a sewing machine or two or three, nor any supplies in the living area at all, for the first time in 3 years! Our house is now on the market! I had to pack up all of my fabric, boo hoo, but on the plus side ~ I can actually walk in my studio now.
I hope you are having fun with the quilt along. I really enjoy the process of picking out fabric from my charm pack stash. Auditioning fabrics is sew much fun!
What is your favorite part of the quilt along; selecting fabric, cutting, piecing, ironing? Are you fabric swapping with your friendship group?
We do have a Flickr group, where you can post pictures of your completed blocks! Here is the link: Flickr - Farm Girl Vintage Group. There is also a discussion area on the Flickr page!
Happy piecing and have a great week!
Tina
